Multiple Deck Plans per ship

In order to support ship refurbishments and to ensure that we are delivering the right deck plans and cabin information, Odysseus Solutions has enhanced our cruise line content database to support multiple deck plans per ship. These deck plans has sail dates attached to them so we can ensure that the customers are seeing the right deck plans per their respective sailing.

In the cruise line content page, you will see validity dates where applicable next to the deck name informing both the agents and the customers of the sailing dates the respective deck is valid for.

We have improved our static cruise content to include cruise ship facts. There are basic details included and we are adding more regularly. Ship facts include details such as nationality of crew, officers, dining options, # of passengers, # of staff members and more.

Modify Cruise Booking

A few agent only features for modify have been added:

a modify link is available on the booking details page next to cabin # for bookings that Note, we will verify if the cruise line allows for cabin modification and only then allow an agent to continue with the process.

A modify/edit link is available on the booking details page on the header of the passenger section. This link will allow agents to modify all passenger details, special services (birthday, honeymoon,  other) and dining.

Please note that Amadeus launched Silversea Cruises on September 15, 2011. Odysseus has now finished integration and launched this cruise line. It is now available in the United States and United Kingdom markets only with USD and GBP pricing.

• - We are still improving the cache that includes all sailings, itineraries and prices

How do I activate it?

You must be registered with the cruise line in order to enable it for booking online. Please contact the cruise line sales desk and inform them that you plan to use Amadeus Cruise and register your Amadeus Office ID in order to take advantage of this cruise line.

Once you have confirmed registration, login to admin as a site administration and then go to: Products ◊ Cruise Lines. You will see the “add” option that will allow you to add the cruise line and make it available on your website.

Note, any changes made there can take 24-48 hours to update the different search forms that are cached.

What’s different in the booking process?

1. 1. Silversea prices returned include air pricing always and the air price is discounted only on category step or later as we are made aware of it. We are working on improving this logic so we can get the cruise only price on the search results.
2. 2. Silversea does not provide port charges and/or taxes or at least does not seem to make them available via Amadeus. All prices include port charges, taxes and fees.
3. 3. You will see a new invoice item, Air Credit that will be displayed for a cruise only transaction.

In the recent months one of the key projects that we have launched is the flashing deck plans that show available cabins on a deck on the cabin availability screen of the booking engine. This integration has been completed for all major cruise lines. This is however a work in progress and needs constant update as cruise lines make available new deck plans.

Carnival Breeze

A new agent only feature was added to the booking engine. This feature allows the agents to clone a booking they have just created. The steps involved are:

1. Agent in admin clicks on clone booking

2. agent is directed to the cabin preferences page where they can select the # of passengers, residency and other options

3. on price booking - if the same category and price are available, the booking engine will auto select the category and take the agent to the cabin selection page.

4. select cabin, customer profile and complete the booking.

We have added 3 new site preferences (customizable by affiliate user) that will allow you to add confirmation tracker links to the booking engine.

The site preferences added are:

This booking confirmation trackers are displayed at time of create booking “only” on the booking confirmation page displayed to the customer.
